| Charles Reutlinger was born in 1816 and studied photography in Stuttgart, Germany. In 1850 he moved to Paris where he founded the famous Reutlinger Studios. This was the beginning of the legacy of the family of photographers which lasted until 1937. |
Charles was a famous photographer in his time and he got access to the Parisian High Society, where he took pictures of famous people His photographs were published in the most prestigious French newspapers and magazines. He was located in the very heart of the Parisian fashion society, together with other elite photographers.
